About the author
Emme Klama is a multi-genre writer watching the fog roll in on little cat feet in San Francisco. She especially enjoys stories that empower kids to believe that the future holds potential for astonishing solutions to make the impossible real.
Clawed was her first kid’s chapter book, a fun collaboration with Dave Levine – her son (@SeeDaveMakeArt). Started during the 2020 pandemic, they decided to continue the fun, and soon published “Sage Pineblossom: Top Tinkerer of the North Pole.”
Then came their very first picture book (PB) about a bullied caterpillar: “Munchie goes up!”.
Emme has published another sumptuously illustrated PB with Sofie Engstorm Von Alten called: “The Tale of a Ladybug in Africa.”
Her next fun PB is, “Surfing in my Milk” inspired by her son dawdling at breakfast.
Emme then collaborated with Sofie on “Mr. Tippy-Tappy: The Tale of a Blue Jay in New Orleans”, based on a true story. Their newest PB is a story about a young rat who has a penchant for stealing called “Rik Rat”.
She and Sofie have just published a new PB: “Playtime for Penguins” about adorable Macaroni penguins. They are currently working on a new MG story about Penguins, and are about to publish an MG fantasy about a pirate crow.

Em Vega lives on the Near Earth Moon Colony. Raised by her scientist parents, she had an uneventful childhood punctuated by picnics in spacesuits and zero gravity. She hates having to deal with moon dust getting everywhere, but loves to spend time when she can vacationing back on earth, where she continues to chronicle her favorite science fiction stories.
She is proud that her book “Lunar Seed” was chosen for inclusion in the Lunar Library to be delivered with Astrobotic’s historic Artemis Moon mission.
It will be part of two 1TB microSD cards that will be delivered and stored on the Moon.
